DAY 2 Wednesday
BEN GURION AIRPORT / JERUSALEM
Upon your arrival to Ben Gurion Airport you will be met and assisted by our IBMT - Holyland Tours representative and transferred to your hotel for check in. If time permits, stroll and explore the shops and cafes of Jerusalem. Dinner & Overnight in Jerusalem
DAY 3 Thursday
JERUSALEM : OLD CITY
Drive to Mount of Olives for a panoramic view of the city; visit the Church of All Nations, King David’s tomb and the Room of the Last Supper on Mount Zion. Enter within the walls of the Old City and visit the Cardo, Temple Mount (entrance to the mosques not included), Western Wall, Walk in the Via Dolorosa and the oriental Bazaar and visit the Church of the Holy Sepulcher. In the afternoon we wil visit the Garden Tomb. Dinner & Overnight in Jerusalem.
DAY 4 Friday
JERUSALEM : NEW CITY / BETHLEHEM
Drive to Ein Kerem to visit the Church of Visitation; proceed to Yad Vashem, the memorial to the Holocaust; visit the Israel Museum, Shrine of the Book, where the Dead Sea Scrolls are housed and the miniature model of Jerusalem as it was during the Second Temple period. Proceed to Bethlehem* birthplace of Jesus; visit Shepherds' field (visit subject to the security conditions) go on to the Church of Nativity. Dinner & Overnight in Jerusalem.
DAY 5 Saturday
QUMERAN / DEAD SEA / MASADA
This morning we will drive through the Judean hills to Qumran, where the Dead Sea Scrolls were found. Visit the ancient city of Qumran and drive along the shores of the Dead Sea, the lowest place on earth to Masada, the last stronghold of the Jews after the destruction of the Second Temple in 70 A.D. Ascend Masada by cable car and visit the food storeroom, water irrigation system and Herod’s Palace. Descend by cable car. Time and weather permitting we will be on our way to the lowest point on earth the Dead Sea an opportunity will be provided to float and enjoy the minerald that the Dead Sea has to offer us. Return to Jerusalem for Dinner & Overnight.
DAY 6 Sunday
BEIT SHEAN / YARDENIT / NAZARETH / CANA
Depart Jerusalem and drive via the Jordan Valley to Beit Shean, a newly excavated city, and visit the Roman theatre. Drive to Yardenit, the baptismal site on the Jordan River; continue to Nazareth visit the Church of Annunciation, St. Joseph’s workshop and Mary’s Well. From Nazareth we will continue to Cana visit the Wedding Church, where Jesus performed his first miracle turning water into wine. Dinner & Overnight at Kibbutz Lavi.
DAY 7 Monday
TIBERIAS / CAPERNAUM / TABGHA / BANIAS
After a short tour of Tiberias, enjoy a boat ride on the Sea of Galilee; Visit Yigal Alon museum where the "Jesus boat", an ancient fishing boat from the 1st century, is displayed. Continue to Capernaum; after a short tour of Tiberias, we take a boat ride to Capernaum. Visit the remains of the 2nd century synagogue. Proceed to Tabgha, the site of the miracle of fish and loaves, and visit the Church of Multiplication with its 4th century mosaic floor. Continue to mount of beatitudes, the place where Jesus delivered the Sermon on the Mount. Drive to the Banias springs and waterfalls and tour the Golan Heights. Return to Kibbutz Lavi for Dinner & overnight.
DAY 8 Tuesday
ACRE / MEGIDDO / MUHRAKA / CAESAREA
Depart Kibbutz Lavi and drive to Acre to visit the remarkable underground Crusader City and crypt; Continue to Megiddo, identified as the site of Armageddon; learn the impressive history of this battle field as you visit the archaeological excavations including the well-preserved water supply system. Drive to Muhraka, the site of confrontation between Elijah and the prophets of Baal; enjoy the spectacular view of the Jezreel valley and the lower Galilee . Proceed to Caesarea, once the Roman capital of the region; visit the excavations of the ancient city, the Roman theatre and aqueduct. Drive along the coastal plain to Tel-Aviv. Dinner & Overnight in Tel Aviv.
DAY 9 Wednesday
DEPART TEL AVIV
Enjoy your breakfast at the hotel before check out and transfer to the airport for your departure back home. Aboard the transatlantic flight, with time to think about your exciting visit and memories for lifetime, you can start planning your next visit to Israel! Arrive back in home the same day.
